The Homestead 1870 Mule is an alcoholic beverage. This drink is a fantastic and can be enjoyed at anytime of the year. The crisp cold spicy flavor is very refreshing. The flavor of mint, basil and ginger mix very well.
I like to keep the bottle of vodka in the freezer, this helps to prevent a lot of ice melt. I enjoy using the copper mugs to provide that full experience of the drink.
Ingredients:
- 3 Mint leaves
- 2 Basil leaves
- 1 Cup Homestead 1870 Ginger Beer
- 1 Shot Vodka
Directions:
In a glass muddle the mint leaves, the basil leaves, and the vodka. This allows all of the essence of the leaves to enter into the vodka like a tincture, to really extract the spicy flavors.
Next add ice, and pour in some ginger beer. Just fill the cup with ice and ginger beer to the strength you prefer.
