About our sourdough
Sourdough bread is a culinary marvel cherished for its distinctive tangy flavor and airy texture. Crafted through a traditional fermentation process using wild yeast and bacteria, each loaf embodies the artistry of sourdough baking. With its golden crust and chewy crumb, sourdough bread offers a sensory journey with every bite. Beyond its delicious taste and rustic appearance, sourdough bread boasts health benefits, including easier digestion and a lower glycemic index. Whether enjoyed toasted with butter or used as a base for sandwiches, sourdough bread remains a timeless staple in kitchens around the world, revered for its unparalleled taste and artisanal charm.
It’s no wonder that everyone enjoys a great loaf of sourdough. Sourdough can be ordered through the market. Sourdough does take a longer time to proof than a commercial yeast so preorders are required as there is a minimum of a day’s lead time to make. We do try to keep bread in the store, but there is no guarantee that it will be available.
Sourdough is used for all types of the bread recipes. We use it to make the beignet, donuts, pancakes, Demi-baguettes, boules, pita, english muffins, crumpets, and pretty much anything you put flour in.
